Pyroll Packaging was founded in 1973, and all eight of its production facilities are located in Finland. As a multi-material company, we manufacture packaging from various different materials in accordance with the Key Flag symbol, which is awarded as a mark of Finnish work.
Our operating model is based on long-term, close customer cooperation, particularly as a trusted partner for the Finnish food industry. Pyroll Packaging employs 270 packaging industry professionals, producing over 1.5 billion packages annually for leading domestic brands.

The cornerstones of our operations are delivery reliability, supply chain flexibility, and product safety. All our factories are certified for quality ISO-9001, environment ISO-14001, and food safety (ISO22000/FSSC22000).

Do you know where the name Pyroll comes from?

Industrial Counsellor Reino Uusitalo founded Pyhtään Paperi Oy in 1973. The business idea at the time was to sheet wrapping papers for retail. In 1982, when entering foreign markets, the company wanted an international touch to its name, and so Pyhtään Paperi was modified to Pyhtään Rulla and then further abbreviated to Pyroll.

Since those times, Pyroll has grown steadily to become one of the Nordic region’s leading processors of cartonboard, paper, plastic, and aluminum. Much has happened along the way, but Pyroll still supplies retail with various wrapping papers.
