This year, the Oscars of Packaging were presented in a WPO event in Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. The renewable roe container for rejuvenating fish stocks, manufactured by Pyroll Group’s Tako Carton Plant in Tampere, got its own award! The award was received in the event by Antero Säilä, CEO of Finnish Packaging Association.
WorldStar is a competition organized by World Packaging Organization in which world’s best packages can participate. The victorious roe container has been designed in cooperation with ichthyologist Manu Vihtonen, and Product Designer Teemu Jormanainen from Pyroll Packaging.
The new biodegradable roe container makes fish planting more ecological and efficient than before. The cardboard container replaces the plastic planting containers previously used for this purpose. You can find more information on WorldStar and the roe container for rejuvenating fish stocks here:
